Krewe of Salacia is on a mission to provide community support to children, senior citzens, battered women and animals on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We are an organization that provides charitable assistance through fundraising and donations and other charitable efforts.


Our discovery has identified several children, women and elderly in the community that are severely lacking the necessary support needed for an overall healthy future. The reality is their fundamental needs are just not being met. Statistics show these individuals run the risk of a lack of desire it takes to move forward and create growth for themselves, both personally or professionally. This is all due to stressors related to their state of being, feelings of lack of self-worth, fear of judgment, failure, lack of opportunity in their environment, and being subjects of harmful conditioning due to trauma and so forth.


The way we meet essential needs and the way we use our resources are what determine our mental and physical health. When achieving balance, young adults, abused women, and our senior citizens are more likely to facilitate more stability in their lives. But, when too many innate physical and emotional needs are not fulfilled or when resources are insufficiently utilized, they suffer considerable distress as an individual. The results are negative for not only them but for everyone and our community.


In most cases, children, abused women, and our senior citizens lack the opportunities for full development. They need our help to create a better- balanced life experience. Our efforts will lend a hand to their future and potential growth.  We feel we can do this through successful partnerships with those of interest that are willing to engage and create WIN/WINs.


When we Host Special Charity Events, Krewe of Salacia would much appreciate any sponsorships, silent auction & monetary donations to help our mission of shining a light of hope and love to those on the Mississippi Gulf Coast that need it the most.

Currently were are hosting these special charity events to help the children & women in need in our community.  Please click each link to find out more information, how you can become involved, and how you can sponsor and/or donate.

We are excited to announce an exciting unique one-of-a-kind fundraiser, Love the Wine You're With, to raise money for two local charities, Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence and South Mississippi Child Advocacy Center.   

Love the Wine You're With will showcase a beautiful Wine Tower made of Wine Bottles that attendees will be able to choose a cork from our Wine Pull and Win whichever number on their cork that corresponds to the Wine Bottle on the Tower.  Wines on the Tower will be a mixture of low to high end brands.

In addition to the Wine Tower, we will also host a Silent Auction, hors d’oeuvres, and a cash bar will be available.  Live Entertainment will also be provided to make for a very fun and festive evening.


Gulf Coast Center for Non-Violence 

– opened as a safe house in 1977, providing help to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Since then, the Center has grown to be the largest, most comprehensive program in the State of Mississippi.  More than 20,500 women, children, and men have received services through shelter and non-residential programs since it opened.  Approximately 12,000 children, adolescents, and adults attend violence prevention sessions annually.  Their 24-hour crisis line receives over 15,000 calls per year requesting assistance and information.  They serve the six southernmost counties of Mississippi: Jackson, Harrison, Hancock, Pearl River, George, and Stone Counties.  All services for victims are free of charge and completely confidential.


South Mississippi Child Advocacy Center 

- provides critical services to children that are the victims of the most severe felony abuse: all sexual abuse, severe physical abuse(ex: burns, choking, permanent injury, broken bones, etc.), drug endangered children, trafficking victims and children who have witnessed a homicide or similarly violent crime. The core foundation of the child advocacy center is to work collaboratively with law enforcement, medical personnel, child protective services, prosecutors and other key professionals during the investigation, prosecution, and treatment of child abuse cases. They strive to provide a comfortable, child-friendly setting in which a child can feel safe telling what has happened to him or her. Their multidisciplinary teams are made up of trained professionals whose primary goal is to reduce the burden on children and help facilitate their recovery.
